This was probably one of of the best times to be wrong. Aren't you glad you took this class?
PS I think it is so great that you have integrated blogging into your day job with the students. I tried suggesting this where I work and it was shot down faster than a one winged pheasant in Northern Wisconsin.

Is Australia all that you imagined and more? What an interesting place to go. Ever since I read "Road from Coorain" by Jill Ker Conway, I have wanted to visit Australia. Hope all went/is well.
Good health to you.

"Everybody should attend etiquette dining sessions before graduating from college or learn about etiquette before they turn 20 years of age."

Ha! This made me laugh. I remember reading etiquette books (Emily Post, I think) in college, which was in an old-money suburb of Philadelphia. It helped me deal with situations like having dinner at the college vice-president's house and the first course being a whole artichoke! I never thought of this as something you could do on-line now.

If you want to read scary things about Facebook, look at some of the sites talking about how hard it is to get your Facebook account deleted, as opposed to deactivated.

I’m there with you. I print so much stuff…and waste so many trees. But studying a longer text on a computer screen is nearly impossible for me. And I too need my old-fashioned highlighter.

Jane,
I too, print out many of my class reading assignments so that I can read from a paper rather than the compter screen. I can find a comfortable chair, in any room of any building and read from a paper or book in my hands.

At the moment, I don't own a computer. My children do, but I struggle to find time at the public library, or on work breaks and lunch hours to finish up the "online" work that is required.

It is a socio-economic thing that I struggle with.
