Since I work in a Serials office, I get to see the print journal issues as they arrive. I scan TOCs of most of the librarian journals, now looking for fresh Library 2.0 literature. The Dec 2007 issue of Information Technology and Libraries has a thorough and long article titled “Participatory Networks: The Library as Conversation” by Lankes, Silverstein, and Nicholson that I recommend to all.
One very interesting thing is ChicagoCrime.org mashup of Google Maps and plotted crime data so you can see where most crimes occur in the city. Creative and useful information for Chicago residents and visitors. What a great idea!
